Furthermore, the compensation plan itself is flawed. The focus is on recruiting new members, rather than selling products. This leads to a pyramid-like structure, where the people at the top make the most money, while those at the bottom struggle to make any sales or recruit new members.


But what if everything in our lives was network marketing? What if we made money every time we referred someone to a restaurant, movie, hotel, or even the grocery store? Would we be willing to pay six to eight times the price for a product, just so our friend or upline could make a commission?


The answer is likely no. We wouldn't pay $80 for a haircut that normally costs $15, just so our friend who referred us could make a commission. We wouldn't pay $12 for a can of beans that should cost $1.50, just so our upline could make a few bucks.


So why do we accept this in the network marketing industry? Why do we allow companies to overprice products and reward those at the top while leaving the majority of participants with little to no income?


It's time for a change. 

We need to fix the broken network marketing industry by focusing on selling quality products at fair prices and rewarding distributors based on their sales, not just their ability to recruit new members.
